Win Tickets to Outlaw Country – Tribute to Johnny Cash & Waylon Jennings, May 30th at the Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre in Camrose!
Two Country Icons, one big night. David James and Big River bring not only their renowned Johnny Cash tribute to Camrose, but James’ new “Ramblin’ Man – A Tribute to Waylon Jennings” opens this evening of Outlaw Country!
The Man in Black might be gone, but David James and Big River are keeping the legend alive as one of the most authentic Johnny Cash tribute shows touring today. Not only do they look and sound like the legacy, they live it. From the way Cash holds his guitar to the way he talks to his audience, the legendary musician lives again when James steps to the mic and says, “Hello – I’m almost Johnny Cash.”
Pairing Johnny and Waylon is a natural fit. They were best friends, working together throughout their careers, most notably alongside Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson as part of the Highwaymen. Together these two tribute shows invoke the sounds and images of another era, accurately recreating true legends of country music.
