You'll see a wide range of animals, from pumas, sloths, and monkeys to toucans, bats and iguanas. The sanctuary's setting allows you to see the local wildlife up close while learning about these stunning creatures from one of the licensed biologists on site. Finish your day by exploring the wide range of butterfly species at the Butterfly Sanctuary.
• Palo Verde & Liberia City Tour - Discover the beauty of northwestern Costa Rica at Palo Verde, one of the largest national parks in Central America. Enjoy a guided boat ride on the park's river for a great look at its stunning landscapes and varied vegetation stretching across 15 natural habitats. After, take a break to enjoy a delicious homemade lunch that highlights the region's natural flavour. After your meal, hop on your transportation and head toward your next stop at the gorgeous Llanos del Cortes Waterfalls, where you can swim in its natural pools as you're surrounded by breathtaking greenery. Take in the stunning scenery surrounding the Miravalles Volcano as you walk up the foothills to explore its active crater. See the smoke rising from the fumaroles as you learn about the hsitory of this massive 2,023-metre volcano. After your hike along the foothills, sit back and unwind in the natural mineral-rich thermal hot springs. Next, have a soak in the clay-rich therapeut mud bath on site. end your tour with a deliciois lunch at the on-site restaurant.
