-Edmonton Transit changed in a big way yesterday, as the new system was rolled out. All the routes have changed, while 1-hundred of them were actually ended. But ETS Branch Manager Carrie Hotton-MacDonald says it will give people access to more direct, more frequent and better connected transit:
“We’re also rolling out that “On Demand” transit service—the largest in Canada. It’s going to be around for a 2-year pilot. And I’m super excited, because it even connects brand new neighbourhoods, bringing even more people into our transit service.”
The new Millwoods Transit Centre was opened as well. Today is expected to be the first big test of the system, and Hotton-MacDonald says they will tweak things if need be. (poster provided by the City of Edmonton)
