-Some good news for Camrose and area families who’ve been wanting a swim at the Aquatic Centre. Starting Friday, they’re going to offer 1-hour bookings for single households. Only people who live in the same house will be allowed at each booking, and it will cost 45-dollars. There’s a number of rules to follow, including no checking in until 5 minutes before your swim, you have to wear your mask when you walk into the building, you can’t hang around the lobby and you have to wear your swim-suit under your outside clothes when you show up.
If you’d like to book an hour for you and your family, you need to call 780-672-9909.

-Edmonton golfers playing the city courses aren’t happy that they have to book and pay for their rounds online before they even head out these days. If you’re the one doing the booking for you and some buddies, you have to foot the entire bill, and then hopefully collect from them later. There are also issues with the way refunds are being handled, because if you cancel within a reasonable amount of time, you get a credit on your account, but not the actual money back. A late cancel will cost you 10 bucks.

-A group of people in Lac La Biche County is hoping to save the main ball diamond in McArthur Park, after Council voted to remove it in their new plan for the area. The group says fewer than 3-hundred people were surveyed on the matter, and that minor ball in the region needs MORE diamonds to support youth baseball and softball. They’ve got a petition you can sign–at laclabicheminorball.ca.

-The town of Innisfail is working to get a premier baseball facility built in the community. It’s going to be partially paid for through the Municipal Sustainability Initiative, and will cost just over 246-thousand dollars. If everything goes according to plan, it will be built near at the “Diamond 7” facility. Officials haven’t given a timeline for construction.

-Some teams in the AJHL are still playing, but the Camrose Kodiaks aren’t among them. Ongoing Covid issues had city council deciding to rip the ice out of the local arenas, so the Kodiaks are done for the season.
