The feds have put 196-billion dollars over ten years on the table, with an immediate 2-billion.
Smith says Alberta should get about 518-million from that portion, and says they’ll be using the money to speed up current health reforms.

No one was hurt, but fourteen vehicles were completely torched.

-A committee looking at the salaries of St. Albert city council is looking for the public’s input on the matter.
Right now–the mayor makes more than 130-thousand dollars a year, while councillors make more than 51-thousand.
Some also have other jobs and sit on various boards and committees.

-People who know the man who ‘d been driving the bus that slammed into a daycare in Laval, Quebec this week, say he’s a “pleasant person and doting father.”
The 51-year old is now charged with two counts of first-degree murder and attempted murder, after two young children died and several were badly hurt in the incident.
Witnesses say the driver was incoherent in the wake of that crash.
