Well it finally happened…we went Camping!  Just got back from 5-day, 4-night road trip with the Legends in the north country and it was a terrific trip!  Had a few tense moments but the great folks at Tee Pee Trade & RV were fantastic and extremely helpful; that 3-hour training session they gave us really paid off and we successfully set up every single night of the trip…pretty impressive for a couple of real greenhorns.  And wow, can our truck suck up the gas…gonna have to cash in more Airmiles for gas gift certificates, that’s for sure.

 

Our favorite campgrounds were the Lions Campground in Whitecourt and Sherk’s Campground in Valleyview…highly recommended if you’re ever in that part of the province.  The folks at Fairview allowed us to dry camp  on the grounds at their music festival and what a wonderful time that was with great music and great people.

 

Travelling with dogs presents a challenge but they turned out to be great little campers.  Twylene rigged up another one of her inventions to keep them corralled in their pen while keeping them from disappearing under the trailer and it worked just fine.  Just have to figure out a way for the littlest hound to make it down the steps.  Now we’re really looking forward to our next trip where we can stay set up for more than a day.
