Cirque du Soleil's 'O'
Hi! It's me again with a final note on our Nevada getaway!
Las Vegas is probably not to everyone's liking, but we were glad we went; if only for the highlight of the trip...Cirque du Soleil's "O", which has been playing at the Belagio Casino since 1998.
Picture a million and a half gallon tank full of water heated to a comfortable temperature in the mid eighties...and a cast of nearly one hundred jugglers, dancers, divers and acrobats!
There was a perforated floor that can be raised and lowered to suit the on stage action...one moment lowered to allow the high divers to operate and the next...raised and capable of being walked on by the next performes...and the costumes!
I've attached a sample of the show so take a look for yourself...it was the highlight of the week!
If there was a downside...after paying for a quite pricy ticket, (which was well worth the money) the additional fifteen dollar program, eight dollar popcorn, and the obligatory gift shop, tended to have me saying "Enough already!" A small complaint though, considering the quality of "O"!
Take it in...ignore the program sellers and enjoy!
Back next week!
Pete
